Doctorate awarded unchallenged! Excellent news, both personally and professionally; this validates the use of participatory design and mixed methods (as opposed to purely statistical data) in the assessment and application of gesture dynamism amongst digital musicians with quadriplegic cerebral palsy. inGrid has been awarded a place as semi-finalist in Georgia Institute of Technology's Margaret Guthman Musical Instrument Prize 2014. I can't wait to see who else has been invited; good company indeed, given the roster of previous winners and panelists, such as David Wessel, Marco Donnarumma and Atau Tanaka.
